Maiar gone bad! Menu says “Tropical” Stout, as in Foreign Export strength, not tropical fruit. Ruby brown. Flat. Very subtle nutty malt aroma. Unique flavor… molasses? nutty? Not savory or coffee. More of a sweet and astringent flavor. Exotic!

Deep amber. No foam (flat). Very banana in the nose. Caramelly malt, subtle spice, bananas, w/ a little caramelized sugar. Bananas Foster! In a sample-sized glass.

Rauchbier vs Smoked Beer vs Smoked Lager. This could be either. Best Smoked Lager I’ve had, I think. Medium amber. Wisp of white foam. Caramelly malt aroma w/ subtle smoke. Intense flavors for a Lager. Sweet, smoky, & bitter finish. Smoke’s not overdone.

Brown. Flat. Much too much body to call brown water. Smooth & silky. Very coffee aroma & flavor. Sweet and sort of fruity w/ a hint of spice in the finish. Very interesting for a Coffee Milk Stout. Sort of a green coffee bean vibe.

An IPA on the side pull? Served in a Tübinger glass? Unheard of! What is this place coming to? Pale gold, super hazy. White head. Equal parts pine & fruit in the nose. Creamy. Hoppy (orange & pineapple). Very manageable bitterness. Really good!
