Well, here we go…… That’s surprising. The hops are still there. Really smooth. Bourbon is pushing throughout but is more balanced. Aged very well.

Jesse is drinking a Bourbon County Brand Stout (2012) by Goose Island Beer Co. at Sleep Land
11 years was actually very kind to this beer. It’s got notes of fermentation and wine character. Surprised how much chocolate is still there. Not sure if they’ll ever do as well as ‘12. Maybe that’s just my memory of it.

So far, excessive aging is serving me well. This is mellow but has marinated nicely. Booze is down. Delicious.
