Jason B. is drinking a Llama Mama Milk Stout by Darwin Brewing Company at Bikes, Beans & Bordeaux
Sweet and nutty with a caramel maltiness and a strong, dark chocolate presence. Can’t help but reminisce about Winamp while drinking this.
Jason B. is drinking a Hop Bullet Double IPA by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
Better DIPA than I was expecting. Sweet and resiny with a bitter, floral, hoppy bite.
Jason B. is drinking a Hell On Wood by DuClaw Brewing Company
Sweet and solid barleywine. Brown sugar and molasses with vanilla and a heavy bourbon barrel presence.
Jason B. is drinking a Dragon's Milk Reserve: Salted Caramel by New Holland Brewing
Dessert in a glass. Cocoa, vanilla, and rich caramel flavors. The salt kicks in on the finish. The bourbon flavor is there but a bit hidden.
Jason B. is drinking a Blueberry Tart by Southern Tier Brewing Company
Light and refreshing for 8.5%. Only a little sour and great blueberry flavor.
Jason B. is drinking a Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) by Founders Brewing Co.
A little gelato, then a little KBS.
Jason B. is drinking a Beyond the Galaxy by Terrapin Beer Co.
Sweet and citrusy with tropical fruit hoppiness.
Jason B. is drinking a Hatchery Series Release #4: Chocolate Milk Stout by SweetWater Brewing Company
Bitter black coffee and dark chocolate. Very smooth but expected more body for a milk stout.
Jason B. is drinking an Easton Brown & Down by Weyerbacher Brewing Company
Nice brown. Reminds me a bit of Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown bit a little thinner body and not as sweet.
Jason B. is drinking a Thick Mint by Southern Tier Brewing Company
Gimmicky, sure, but it’s very true to an actual Thin Mint cookie and makes me think that mint could be interesting in more beers.
Jason B. is drinking a Köstritzer Schwarzbier by Köstritzer Schwarzbierbrauerei at Schumann's Jäger Haus
Delicious and toasty with chocolate and coffee notes.
Jason B. is drinking a Hopslam Ale (2018) by Bell's Brewery
Yep. Still great.
Jason B. is drinking a Baby Horse by 21st Amendment Brewery
Super yeasty, slightly fruity and sweet. Good quad but the 9.5% isn’t hidden at all.
Jason B. is drinking a Bigfoot by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
I’m sure I’ve had a previous Bigfoot release but haven’t logged one. This fresh 2018 bottle is bitter, hoppy and has a heavy caramel malt.
Sweet and toasty stout with hints of chocolate and coffee. ABV is not as noticeable as I expected but it’s not terribly remarkable either.
