Dee Ble: Nose like a fruitcake, barley sugar/Twix bar, and pre-sliced young Gouda. Bitter, fruit mouth (like Seville oranges) with real bite. End: bitter hops + tea, but fades to well-aged Gouda/caramel malt, with a very slight Calavdos lick/body.

Dee Ble is drinking a Parade by Beak Brewery
Just juicy greatness. This is such a lovely fruit mix. Nose: pineapple cake and margarita cocktail; tinned peach and apricot. A nice buttery pineapple end. It is life-affirming to have this made and sold near us.

A bucketload of fruit in a lovely, balanced package. Grilled apricot, tinned peach, "Fruit Salad" sweets, ripe guava on the nose. Slinky weight, and a nice soft landing. Hat tip to Andrew!

Dee Ble is drinking a Bière de Brie Ambrée by Brasserie Rabourdin
#1001Beers No.633 (all editions) 19 Sep 2022. Gorgeous, farmy amber. Possibly my favourite biére de garde to date, hopefully not just because a) brewery was very welcoming or b) it seems like the closest one to an English bitter.

Cornish accompaniment to lunch. Smelling more of Kentish ale toffee than usual, and all the better for it
