Aroma of grain, pears, somewhat earthy hop notes. Sweet w apple & pear as much as bread, modest but nagging bitterness. Such is the skill of German brewers when they make a supermkt beer, you can actually taste them pinching the the pfennigs.

Can, their Advent box. V pale gold w a white head. Gentle lemony cracker aroma. Austere w little to the taste (hints of crackers) until a modest but rather nice peppery bitter kick at the end. I'm sure this is difficult to make & I kind of appreciate it.

Last had 2016. Because it's not that overspiced but it's not as good as normal Abt. Still very good, mind.

Gold with a white head. Crackery floral aroma with hints of lemon and pepper. Fairly lean and clean with a building floral and peppery bitter finish. Nice.

A bit torn to see this one discounted. IMHO one of the better Oz IPAs but perhaps of a sort less appreciated at present.
