A mix of ingredients, a mix of barrels: a whole lot of extravagant complexity, hard to digest. Schwarzwalder Kirsch, oak, vanilla, winter spices. Very thick. Sweet and sticky. You don't really notice the very high abv, but there's warmth.

Very sweet, very boozy. Also very IPA, with strong bitterness and a dominant hop profile. Still, a bit out of balance, I'd say. A fitting Mr Eclipse glass for today.

A year in, the Tripel character has mellowed. Low in fruity esters, slightly increased in the farm animal acids. Quite funky, not very sour. Soft mouthfeel, not overly fizzy. Nicely Bretty, less outspoken.
