Rich’s and heavy. A silky tongue for so much outrageous coffee and roasty bitterness.

A slightly dank, nicely hoppy, and tasty IPA. Canned on Karen’s and my second anniversary.

A nose that’s a bit sweet, but all good dark bitterness and coffee on the tongue.

Gift from Tristan. Perfect geuze. Lying between sour and dry funk. Meeting in time here at it’s point of perfection.

Shacksbury Farmhouse Cider by Pet Nat (2016)

Geof H. is drinking a Pet Nat (2016) by Shacksbury Farmhouse Cider at Haymaker Bar and Kitchen

A quite fine and funky tart-sweet cider with enough underlying tannins to still pucker the tongue. Could be tarter but a good darker taste.

This pour of the NEIPA is one of the milky-haziest perfect NEIPAs I’ve ever had. A gorgeous hop-hazy wonder.

Funk-cheesy sour nose. Even stinky-cheesier funktasms on the tongue. Quite a wonder.

Deep sweet dankness but with some heady hoppiness at the end. Maybe the only drinkable TIPA I’ve had. (Karen, however, hates it.) Delicious.

Beautiful deep red. Tart and slightly vinegary nose. Quite the same on the tongue but with good raspberry flavor. Unfortunate vegetal ending

Anderson Valley, so close to my grandfather’s Valley (Russian, I ask), Why? Slightly tartish. A bit raspberry, much malt, salt, and pith.

A weird little beer. Almost all malty darkness—all good. But turns a little pinchy at the end, which really comes with a swish of coffee.

Sweet with a lot of cherry color and a little cherry flavor. The rest is boozy Belgian strongness and a more bitter flavor.

Lots of dark bitterness though cut with lots of sweetness. A tone of dry-cocoa chocolate and a little vanilla. Very good but a bit too sweet
