A K. is drinking a Geuze Mariage Parfait (2012) by Brouwerij Boon
Plenty of Fantôme-esque funk with a hint of musky white grape and green apples. Not as bone dry as Cantillon, 3F et al but still refreshing.
A K. is drinking a Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) by Founders Brewing Co.
Tons of chocolate and bourbon but coffee slightly muted. Medium full, oily mouthfeel. Not as overrated or boozy as I expected. Good stuff.
A K. is drinking a Schneider Weisse Unser Aventinus (TAP6) (2012) by Schneider Weisse G. Schneider & Sohn
Banana, clove, slightly tart red berries (maybe some oxidation from extensive ageing?). Smooth, creamy, almost vinous. ABV hidden. Winner.
A K. is drinking a Spencer Trappist Ale by Spencer Brewery
Classic Belgian yeast fruity esters. Overripe bananas, clove, drupes. Peppery note from the hops, touch of vanilla on the finish. Excellent.
A K. is drinking a Vanilla Weisse by Siren Craft Brew
Vanilla balances out sourness masterfully. A bit herbaceous, peppery and creamy. Liquid sour ice cream. One of the better British Berliners.
