Sweet and nutty malty brown ale, it's a nice one on a(nother) rainy night Nino thinks it smells good but not as good as the can of pinto beans we used for dinner (she is unexpectedly a lover of tinned beans). And we are mostly forgiven for our time away

Dipping into the fridges as we have a bit of extra time before dinner, this Christmas beer will do nicely. Sweet and malty, smooth with raisins, prunes, dried candied fruits, leather and winter spices. Reminds me of an amped up dubbel
Hop cat: The John Soane of Florence?
David Vinson: Hop cat Stibbert had a lot more space to work with, perhaps didn't need to be quite as selective. But very similar in working their space to display all the goodies
Hop cat: You are really, really missing out by not going to Arezzo. The second best painting in the world (the best is in Sansepolcro according to Huxley). Sansepolcro is also not far from Florence but you need a car.
Hop cat: But of course you have your Pieros in the National Gallery.
Amanda Vinson: Hop cat the baptism of Christ at the National Gallery is magnificent, but not as good as seeing Piero in context. We will come again.
Hop cat: Yes, the baptism is great. But I like the Saint Michael even more. Compare him to that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_with_the_Head_of_Goliath_(Caravaggio,_Vienna)
David Vinson is drinking a Rauch'N'Roll by Antikorpo Brewing at Art.17 Birreria
I can't resist a smoked beer, this one is giving me ancient midwestern memories of Polish sausage. Sweet, smoky, malty, savoury and meaty. In a good way despite my pescetarian preferences Photo from the Bardini museum, what a fine collection
David Vinson: My favourite object of the day was in this museum but you'll have to see Amanda's check in for it, as she got there first

Sweet and earthy, crisp and malty, I also taste a bit of something herbal After S.Croce we were on our way to the Bardini museum but saw the sign for Museo Horne and dived in. So worth the stop, first obsessive collector museum of the day (of three!)
First dip into the 🇮🇹 beer haul and it's a nice one. Lightly hazy, sweet and juicy grapefruit, orange and pine, solid dry bitterness Teddy also forgives us but he is one to forget a grudge quickly
