Dry, tart, floral and oaky. Slightly bitter but rose hips will do that and I’m ok with that.

Bright and raisiny. Drinks very easy for an 8.6%. Enjoyable as a one off but not something I would actively seek in this style of beer.

Cellared this for a year and a half after being given it. It’s mellowed out from when I had it last time. Syrupy currant aroma with a dry but not vinegary flavour. Short finish but quite refreshing.

Toffee, raisins and very smooth. Chose way too big of a glass as I didn’t realize it was a barley wine. Not too shabby.

Bottle Bottle

A little funky, tart but gradually changes to a grape/stone fruit sweetness. The 9.1 abv is not noticeable here. A very tasty experiment that I will have to get more of and age for a year or so.
