Nick H: Have to agree sadly. Three years I held them in such high regard they were only second to Track. Every IPA sweet and creamy. Nowadays less so.

Although this is from the wonderful Holy Goat, I wasn't hugely looking forward to it. It is, though, utterly magnificent - a perfect beer for a lovely early (meteorological) autumn evening. Molasses, liquorice & a subtle smokiness. Just heavenly.

I admit, I bought this entirely because of the name...surely one of the best ever. The cat helps, too. Beer-wise, it's a reasonable IPA, although I can't help thinking that Pomona Island beers aren't what they were.
