BARREL-AGED SHERIDAN’S STOUT by Evil Twin Brewing NYC

Steve K is drinking a BARREL-AGED SHERIDAN’S STOUT by Evil Twin Brewing NYC at The Deck

The nose is charred chocolate, pours deep black with little carbonation, notes of tobacco, milk chocolate, molasses, coffee definitely is gone from BA aging, vanilla is there slightly, very dry finish from the rye barrel, very approachable and drinkable.

Grassy with a burst of citrus lime, perfumy, maybe some over ripe melon as it warms, but it is a bit odd and off balanced. Little disappointed in this one.

Malcontents of Dissonance by Burial Beer Co.

Lots of floral on the nose, burst of citrus tangerines and orange, mellowed to notes of peaches, herbal tea, grassy, it’s a tad thin but super crushable under that well hidden 10%.
