Seemed rude not to give the late version a go after trying the early one! Honestly, not noticing a huge difference between the two. Maybe a little less spice on the finish, but still a quality, thick and fruity IPA.

Big, bold and unapologetically malty, with plenty of nutty marzipan and rich Muscovado sugar sweetness. A touch too sweet for my palate, but this is an absolute beast of a stout, with the ABV dangerously well hidden. A proper sipper that packs a punch.

Tart, zingy and packed with citrus, finishing with that satisfyingly salty kick you’d expect from a Gose. More familiar with Põhjala’s excellent big stouts and porters, so this is a refreshing change of pace.
