I actually enjoyed it even more the second time around. It definitely had the depth and richness of an imperial beer, but also had the taste of cherries and an acidity to it. So... I guess I'd describe the flavour as "complex".

Delightful! Kinda reminiscent of those Deeds BBAs that I love, but not as thick or rich. Has the bitterness of a coffee, and the subtle smoky maple flavour. "Tastes nothing like a beer!" Loved it.

Surprise... it's a lager! Quite a nice one, too... drank it rather fast! Was supposed to drink this on the Shinkansen to Tokyo, but felt too self-conscious to drink it at 10:30am. So instead, it came back to Australia with me. Nice.

Probably the last can I had of this, but what a treat. Still fantastic. Extremely potent, but not as heavy as some of the other Deeds stouts. Love it. They were a hell of a brewery.
