Ben M. is drinking a Black Eyed King Imp Vietnamese Coffee Edition by BrewDog at House Of Hux II: The Huxening
Cracked this to see how it's progressing. VERY well. Coffee has subsided, but the sweet, complex, malty booziness is there in spades. 😁😁😁
Purchased at Cellarbrations
Ben M. is drinking a Lil NEIPA by Mash Brewing at House Of Hux II: The Huxening
Like tropical fruit juice. Massively juicy, no bitterness, decent mouthfeel for a 3.5% ABV. Very impressive mid.
They have a good range of crafty beers now..!!

Mid-strengths? Yeah, so many really tasty 3.5% beers around these days. Don't have to do Carlton Mid or Hahn Light anymore...

Ben M. is drinking a La Goudale - Blonde à l'ancienne by Les Brasseurs de Gayant (Brasserie Goudale) at House Of Hux II: The Huxening
Smooth, sweet and a bit malty but ultimately not that flavourful. Hides the 7.2% though.
Purchased at The Bottle-O
Ben M. is drinking a Voodoo Ranger IPA by New Belgium Brewing Company at KFC
Dank, resiny and fairly bitter IPA. Classic. And pretty fresh too.
Ben M. is drinking a 1554 by New Belgium Brewing Company at Cellarbrations
Very smooth, though the malt flavour is a bit light on. OK.
Ben M. is drinking a 6TenK II by HopDog BeerWorks at House Of Hux II: The Huxening
Sour porter fermented on bourbon barrel staves. Interesting flavour combo. Glad they tried it, but I'm not the biggest fan of the result.
Purchased at The Kewdale Tavern
Ben M. is drinking a Huge Dunn Imperial Brown Ale by Nail Brewing Australia at House Of Hux II: The Huxening
This is still a great Imperial brown ale, but it certainly isn't as good as the original batch from a few years ago. I miss it.
Ben M. is drinking a Huge Dunn Imperial Brown Ale by Nail Brewing Australia at Baskin Robbins
Who would have thought? Goes really well with Hokey Pokey.
Ben M. is drinking an Arthur by Blackman's Brewery at House Of Hux II: The Huxening
Decent smoked porter but I reckon Feral Smoked Porter is better.
Ben M. is drinking a Bling India Pale Ale by Bridge Road Brewers at House Of Hux II: The Huxening
Fresh is best! Delicious.
Purchased at Bridge Road Brewers
Ben M. is drinking a Quadrupel (2017) by Artisan Brewing at The Dutch Trading Co. (D.T.C.)
Finishing on the Quad. The big malts, booze and dried fruits you'd expect. Maybe just a little rough, but very tasty.
It is amazing how much starting with a Karmeliet makes everything else taste ordinary. Lovely beer.

Ben M. is drinking a Sticky Date Dubbel by Artisan Brewing at The Dutch Trading Co. (D.T.C.)
Not quite the sticky date as described, but a sweet, malty beer with nice yeast and a little graininess.
Ben M. is drinking an Unforbidden by Artisan Brewing at The Dutch Trading Co. (D.T.C.)
Sweet, grainy and a little spicy. Unusual flavour, but certainly not unpleasant.
Ben M. is drinking a Flanders Gold (2017) by Artisan Brewing at The Dutch Trading Co. (D.T.C.)
A paddle of new Artisan Brewing beers. Happy days! Starting with a tasty golden ale that suffers unfairly by comparison to the Karmeliet.
Ben M. is drinking a Tripel Karmeliet by Brouwerij Bosteels at The Dutch Trading Co. (D.T.C.)
Happy (belated) Belgian Day! Haven't had this in ages. Lovely soft, silky Belgian yeastiness and some slight banana. Gorgeous.
