Sjoerd Van de Vijver is drinking an Aquino Batch #6 by Kloosterbrouwerij Haagsche Broeder at Winterbierfestival Den Haag
9% porter based bretted wild ale thingy. Love the brett funky aroma; some malty light coffee notes in the back. Fruity vinous in taste. Really beautifull beer!
Sjoerd Van de Vijver is drinking a Rita by Oedipus Brewing at Winterbierfestival Den Haag
7% grape ale saison thingy. Really nice! Fruity, tart, grapes, funky. Great combination of saison and graped sour saison. Love this.
Sjoerd Van de Vijver is drinking a Johannes Rum Barrel Aged by Kloosterbrouwerij Haagsche Broeder at Winterbierfestival Den Haag
9,5% rum BA quad. Nice sweet quad, hints of sugary rum. Not really prominent yeast-profile, but nice malts.
Sjoerd Van de Vijver is drinking a Four Aces Peated Quad by Brouwerij Het Nest at Winterbierfestival Den Haag
10% peated quad. More quad than peat. I don't get a lot of peat in the aroma. I get the typical Belgiany quad aromas of pear, hint of banana, and malts bringing raisins, brown sugar. Some savory notes in the back. Sorry, had better.
11,11% pastrystout with coconut, blueberry, almond. Soft mouthfeel. Loads of sweet coconut in aroma, also note of blueberry. Taste is sweet, almond sweet, coconut and blueberry, chocolate, hint of coffee. Nice combi of adjuncts, tasty!
