Sweet through and through. Malty sweet, caramel sweet, all the sweet. Not annoying though, some burnt sensation counter it in the end.Earned the Brewery Pioneer (Level 28) badge! Earned the Heavy Weight (Level 18) badge! Earned the Imperial Czar (Level 4) badge!
Bottled 2008. With it being a DIPA, hard to judge. Decent as it is. It probably was a lot better, and will become a lot worse. Resiny, nobleEarned the Sky's the Limit (Level 20) badge! Earned the Hopped Up (Level 10) badge! Earned the 99 Bottles (Level 65) badge! Earned the 2X (Level 13) badge!
A touch heavier in the sour, straw and hay-ish nose. Full, pleasant complexity, but in my opinion the story somewhat boasts the brew.Earned the Middle of the Road (Level 72) badge! Earned the Silence of the Lambics (Level 3) badge!
Would've believed it if I was told that it was bottled a week ago. Bubble abundant, intermediate sour. Fresh, grape-like.Earned the Belgian Holiday (Level 47) badge!
Weird. Bitter, astringent, does remind of paracetamol. There's little to be added, this one's past its time.Earned the Brewery Pioneer (Level 27) badge! Earned the 99 Bottles (Level 64) badge!
Tastewise actually rather similar to the Rodenbach Grand Cru I just had. Though being younger, slightly more pontent and lively. Tad better.Earned the Flan-didly-anders badge!
Somewhat leaving the stamp of beer behind, halfway towards wine. Musty, damp. Deep flavour, though not exceedingly complex.Earned the Middle of the Road (Level 71) badge! Earned the Belgian Holiday (Level 46) badge!
Eccentric specimen of the style. The pucker in this one is remarkable, though the useage of roasted malts in a sour ale is even funnier.Earned the Hopped Down (Level 19) badge! Earned the Going Dutch (Level 65) badge!
Funky smell, with apricot. Apricot in general, is the main event in this particular brew. Rhubarb is there, though faintly recognizeable.Earned the 99 Bottles (Level 63) badge!
