Savored Ales From 14 Trappist Breweries

Trappist beers are brewed by monks who follow the rule of St. Benedict. Fourteen monasteries—six in Belgium, two in the Netherlands, and one each in Austria, Italy, England, France, Spain and the United States—currently produce Trappist beer as members of the International Trappist Association (ITA). However, the Authentic Trappist Product label is assigned by the ITA to the beer products of just eleven breweries which meet their strict criteria. Unfortunately Spencer Brewery which was the only Trappist Brewery in United States ceased beer production in May of 2022.
