Nikolai by Fair Isle Brewing

Mike Ranella is drinking a Nikolai by Fair Isle Brewing

Whoa. This rating is too low. Reminds me of Tired Hands prayer group. What happened to that beer??! Love a lager-wild saison mash-up. It’s crisp and bright. Crackery with some citrusy/lemony notes.

Bucolic Brett Grafted by Barrel + Beam

I’ll restate, I’d love for this to have more funk, but a lovely beer at 4%. Purchased two years ago in Traverse city. Love B+B. We were -7 on the front nine but only -3 on the back. Couldn’t putt!!

Cranberry Incipient by Speciation Artisan Ales

Over the years, the Incipient base has really honed in. Much more balanced, not so puckering, than in the beginning. The cranberry shows more like a red berry. Jammy rather than crisp.

Love OH but not my favorite. Orange marmalade. Fruity pebbles. Light tropical notes. Touch of lime. It’s a little all over the place.
