This is what an American barleywine should actually taste like. None of that mid to late mid 2000s over-hopped malty bullshit. The hop profile is balanced and doesn’t overwhelm midpalate, and the lingering bitterness intermingles with the caramel nicely.

Freaking delicious. Tons of sweet pineapple, mango, good amount of lemon sherbet. Body is silky, and sure, it does lean a little sweet; but crushable as well. One of the better hazys I’ve had recently.
