Nice to see in Akl after it’s NW30 award. Smashing after an unexpected walk home from GP L’land due to buses full of Blues supporters! Light clove, banana esters, choc aroma. Pleasant effervescent body. Light baking spices, plum danish, less banana.
Prajna M is drinking a Rex Attitude by Yeastie Boys at The Beer Spot Morningside
A more approachable iteration of Rex. Malts are light enough to present as a smoked lager. Aroma almost permeates the venue. Little bit of sweetness initially. Then the full peaty, smoked kelp, tobacco vibes. Nice bit TCP. Smoked notes linger very well
Prajna M is drinking a Batwing IPA by Burkes Brewing Co at The Beer Spot Morningside
Extraordinarily floral IPA! Initial crispy malt base, then a touch of stickiness. Floral, slightly earthy hops, bit like a mouthful of marigolds. Rounded mouthfeel, some toffee in the background. Bit of white fruits w/ good layer of bitterness on the end
Prajna M is drinking an Immense World - Hāpi Sessions Vol 12: Highland Park by Garage Project at Garage Project Kingsland Cellar Door
V glad for new HPB beer. Evening at Hermosillo taproom (followed by family/ neighbourhood mole & tacos) was one of my favourite beer times. This is definitely a hoppy pilsner. Tropical fruit bowl aroma. Heavier than proper pils body. Fresh ‘erb, lime leaf

Love to see Bootleg getting accolades & being able to pick up at NW. Brilliant aroma of dark spices, banana, leather. Those flavours flow through the palette. But the taste is unbalanced/ bit of alcohol heat. May need time to settle & I’ll def grab some
