Upon first sip this has a somewhat thick (for a mead) syrupy consistency (not a negative) which caught me of guard! Sweet, tart with somehow an ever so slight peppery finish. Fantastic!

Smooth, mildly malty, slightly sweet, a very pleasant one to start the day with. My second sampling of Smith product (other was a winter ale), gotta say, both were good! They're right there with that Samuel Adams/Sierra Nevada level of craftiness.
