Rocky Road by Angry Chair Brewing

Thomas Ogiba is drinking a Rocky Road by Angry Chair Brewing at Bluff Park

It is absolutely fantastic, far and away the best rocky road stout I have had. Matte black pour with an oatmeal brown cap. Super dark nutty nose with chocolate ganache, vanilla and a hint of nougat. Taste is liquid rocky road ice cream in the stout.

Pours opaque black with minimal head or retention.Pecan, fudge, chocolate syrup, espresso in the nose.Thick, chewy, syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet up front and all the way through. Loads of chocolate, lightly nutty, big booze. Finishes sweet. Nicely done. Cheers

Sweetness in the nose and palate, reminiscent of marshmallow with a definite impression of vanilla/white chocolate. Whiskey & milk chocolate as well as faint impressions of graham cracker spices. Creamy, smooth, not cloying, with minimal notes of coffee.

This pours dark brown, sits black in the glass, and has a nice cap of foamy khaki head. Definitely has a rummy sweetness on the nose and palate, not cloying, a bit warm and boozy with nice impressions of coconut and hazelnut and notes of cinnamon.

Notes of bourbon in the nose, sweet malt finished with a hint of hops. Not overly complex.Overall a great beer for the bourbon drinker that wants to have a beer.
