If you take all the Stouts in the world and select them in ABVs up and under 6.5, I’d say this was in top 10 of the ones in the max 6.5 category. Had my first Ammestout back in 2013 at a TTO. “Chocolate, coffee, smooth, the perfect tartness” was the words
2nd glass! Sweet’nd bitter notes of roasted malts and berries, maybe stone fruits. Very fruity and rich taste wrapped in the most velvet-likely palate (smOOOth). So we have some heavy fruit, roasted malts and a tiny tartness. Russian IS? Good beer, but...
Have the feeling Verdant is brewery of the week in CPH. This USPA is adorable like a My Little Pony. Easy drinkable, light hopped, fruity, quite lively carbonated. 4.5 % wrapped in a crispy package, but I don’t get the wow, omg or flight-to-heaven feelingEarned the Tower of Beer (Level 28) badge!
Total/3000. Served almost to perfection - just a slightly bit too warm. But the perfect winter warmer on an early fri/evening with a cold index at -10 degrees outside! 3rd check-in in all and missed out on it in 2017 😳🙄 Maximum on stone fruits, licoriceEarned the St. Patrick's Day (2018) badge!
Beer for lunch. Old school IPA with an acceptable taste, but nothing special. But I’m astonished, that a place like this isn’t capable of offering a better beer-selection than this (Jacobsen, Carlsberg, few Nørrebro bottles). A bit sad.
Being trying a lot this evening, but ... in my mouth a get a very significant passionfruit taste: tart/hard sweet, but also with an unpleasant quite harsh beska finish. No good! Second from left.
Taster! Again a large and huge thank U to Rammo, Axel and Sam from USofA! I guess Kriek or raspberries are a matter of preference, but I prefer the Kriek. A bit richer in taste, and some vanilla or almonds in the finish.
Taster. Treat by Sam and the crew from Himmo! Axel and The Patron. Thanx! My f___ very first taste of Lou Pepe on a day like this!!! Couldn’t imagine me a better aroma of raspberries. Nice taste with same: sour, fruity, earthy. Oak. But... hehe =>
When lactose is helping the flavor of a good solid kinda old-school IIPA along the road to the track. When a modern gadget helps an old truck to the drag racing track. “Bad Ideas” got quite enough under the hood, but lactose wraps it eatable. Complimenti!
