Space Lettuce by Monday Night Brewing

Patrick King is drinking a Space Lettuce by Monday Night Brewing at The Cotton Exchange

In Savannah, you can order cocktails to go and get to-go cups for unfinished bar orders. At some places, you’re given a souvenir cup to pour your hooch into for your travels. This beer is thicker than expected but 8.8% gets the job done.

The temperature of the mineral springs in Berkeley Springs is consistently 74 degrees F, flowing constantly at least 1,000 gal./min.. The water is fabled for healing properties. I’m not sure about that but it does make good beer. This was a decent one.

Traveling ministers damned Berkeley Springs as a place of sin due to the prevalence of gambling and quarter horse racing in the final decades of the 18th century. That didn’t stop George Washington from coming here often. Really solid kolsch.

You can send mail to Berkeley Springs WV, which is its Post Office name. But the town’s official name is Bath. This is what George Washington (and his cronies) named the spa resort back in 1776. Excellent beer - worth the visit alone.

Blackhawks Pale Ale by Goose Island Beer Co.

Patrick King is drinking a Blackhawks Pale Ale by Goose Island Beer Co. at Chicago O'Hare International Airport

In the B Gate at O’Hare, this beer at the Goose Island bar is cheaper than the water. Maybe there’s some Soylent Green shit going on but it tastes like a fine beer, so fuck it.

Purchased at Chicago O'Hare International Airport
