Orvallian is drinking an Erdinger Oktoberfest / Festweiße by Erdinger Weissbräu at Untappd at Home
Aroma- ripe banana, wheaty bread, touch of cloves and orange. Taste- nice hefe, the extra abv adds to the body, more watery malty bready, but the classic banana and cloves are there, nicely balanced. For £1.99 from Aldi it's pretty good for the price.

Aroma- malty aromas, wafers almost like marzen type aromas with touch of citrus and honey. Taste- great drinkability and depth of flavour for the abv, sweet brioche bready flavours then honey cereal with licks of lemon. Bitter lingering finish.
Orvallian is drinking a Through the Ashes of Empires by Torrside Brewing at Untappd at Home
Aroma- chocolate and cocoa, plums and red fruits with slightest hint of smoked. Taste- complex layers of roast malts, chocolate gives way to smoke, wood and stewed fruits. Lovely depth of flavours and the smokiness make this a great stout.

Aroma- caramel, butterscotch, touch of pine and orange peel, red fruits and the rye. Taste- great example of the style, lovely mouthfeel, nicely balanced, spicy caramel and toffee, hints of pine resin and orange lick of ginger, great bitter back end.

Aroma- bready, peppery almost lemon honey aroma. Taste- slight sweetness upfront, then peppery nettle taste with white bready flavours, not lots of bitterness but for a large brewery it's pretty impressive, thank god for the rheinheitsgebot law.
