Bottle 4 share. Big, wonderful, sweet, cinnamon nose. Whoops. Wish the nose was the flavor. It was TOO sweet and TOO MUCH / too intense cinnamon. Mixed it with Morning Bell & it was excellent. It tasted almost like Mexican Brunch. No rating 4 this one.
Can share. Big, big, wonderfully fruity nose. Starts with a soft mouthfeel, then gets crisp and refreshing. Tropical & citrus & maybe some melon. Slight lime (balanced) finish. Yessiree! 8.0 ABV. ......BTW. A skeg is a kind of rudder for a boat......Earned the Cheers to Independent U.S. Craft Breweries (Level 56) badge! Earned the For the Can (Level 50) badge!
Very subtle nose. Expected a HUGE beer. No. Not huge - just outstanding. Smooth as can be; coffee, chocolate, vanilla and oak. Great finish that leaves a lingering (soft) whiskey barrel flavor. Out of production. Had this before. Thanks, Frank H. Loved it. Tried it again (recently); unfortunately it "had turned". This one was wonderful. Smooth, rich, delish. Lotsa maple. Low booze for a 12.7. Not as good as last time, but close.
Good one! Yeah, I got a growler of this. Smooth, good body, malty, biscuit and toffee flavors. Layers of flavors. Better pushed with CO2 than Nitro.Earned the Paint the Town Red (Level 10) badge!
American Amber / Red Ale on Nitro. Very smooth & creamy. Nice flavors, but they seem muted by the Nitro. Gonna try the non- nitro version next .... stay tuned.Earned the Verified Adventure (Level 81) badge!
