Jim Cope is drinking a Sourdough Pale by Crumbs Brewing
Quite bitter and leaves me asking what flavours are contributed by the bread that aren’t masked by hops? Not to say I didn’t enjoy it, it’s a good, refreshing, premium bitter; one of those USP beers that leaves me wishing the gimmick was more palpable

Well rounded, full bodied beer with silky texture. There’s a depth of flavour I wouldn’t expect from a lager, subtle ; toasty, toffee notes.

Jim Cope is drinking a Dark Arts Hazelnut by Magic Rock Brewing
Hazelnut from start to finish and the chocolate takes a back seat, rounding out flavour profile to help the nut really shine. Delicious and so well balanced.
Jim Cope is drinking a Cool Beans by Butts Brewery at Untappd at Home
First taste is of the coffee and being well balanced with the roasted malt, even the low abv suits this beer. After a few sips it gets pretty smooth and unlike many other coffee beers, it’s dry so doesn’t get cloying at all.

Dark and delicious. Sweet granary loaf crust. Good train beer.
