Oak based aroma. Also, low-moderate toast, and toffee character. Taste is burnt wood, and barrel, supported by a tinge of chocolate. It's a bit smokey as it finishes. There's no astringency or heat present. Perhaps a tartness upfront. Smooth and delicious
