My new favorite fiddlehead. Sorry lil hazy fiddlehead ipa but your big bro packs a west coast/clear New England heady topper level punch. It’s cold pressed orange peel oil with some pine and a pop of mixed berry candy on the finish.

Good follow up after veil’s NZ hop pils (motueka). Nelson here. Different but equally as good. I feel the veil is more pure hop delivery on a minimal clean lager base. Schillings has a little more depth. Water minerality, grains, shows the lager ferment.

So good. Green melon and lemon. Modern WC pils adjacent but with a firm bitterness. I guessed maybe galaxy before I looked it up. But motueka makes sense. I think I’m liking motueka now. Other half, Marlowe, and veil have made great beers with it

Bubblegum. Witbier like in some aspects but not too much to make it an off lager. Wheat. Honey. Lemon. White wine. Minerality. Faint grass underneath and on the finish. Floral.

FF Czech lagers are like walking in fields of grain and jumping in a pile of fresh malts. Theres an intangible quality to these that really sets them apart. They’re so clean while still maintaining an element of rusticity.
