In honor of Chris’ 10 years of Untappd! We have been to this brewery together. 8-) delightful bright hoppiness with some earthy notes. Wheat makes it soft and a bit rich. Pine is present but not too bitter.

Penelope is down, we need milk, HM is on the way to Whole Foods… quick nip in. Queen Anne cherry cordials in a glass, for better or worse. Bitterness on the finish keeps it from being cloying. Glad to try, not upset about missing bottles.

Low carb, smooth luscious booziness with a pleasant viscosity that lingers until a beautiful slight rye bite on the finish. Dark stewed fruits that somehow remain bright. Really pleasant.

Barleywine vertical down by the tracks. 17 is a vibrant oxidized shadow, 18 is nice but mostly still heavy AB. 20 is tasting marvelous, smoothed out and complexity remains, layers of candied fig, molasses, and booze with just enough bitter to balance.

Penelope’s birthday beer! Thanks to E&E. Strong barrel nose and lots of oak on the attack, then velvet texture washes over the palate and a journey of flavors begins. Molasses and burnt caramel, chewy vanilla and complementary dark fruit. Finishes nimbly!
