Bob J. is drinking a Gale's HSB by Fuller, Smith & Turner at Broxbourne
Rich, fruity and malty, I prefer the draught (when you can get it) but a bottle will do nicely.
Purchased at Asda
Bob J. is drinking a Roman Imperial Stout by Downton Brewery at Broxbourne
Should have brought it out of the garage last weekend, too cold but the chocolate and coffee malts have clear potential!
Purchased at Beers of Europe
Bob J. is drinking a London Pride by Fuller, Smith & Turner at The Thames Hotel
I’d say a mid barrel pint of Pride, chases down a steak and onion sarnie a treat.
Purchased at The Thames Hotel
Bob J. is drinking a Yakima Red by Meantime Brewing Company at Five Horseshoes
A bottle was preferable to another bland pint.
Purchased at Five Horseshoes
Bob J. is drinking a Hardys & Hansons Rocking Rudolph by Greene King at Five Horseshoes
A second pint back here somewhat exposes the lack of variety available - as usual.
Bob J. is drinking a Side Pocket For A Toad by Tring Brewery at The Candlesticks Pub
A great staple for a lunchtime pint.
Purchased at The Candlesticks Pub
Bob J. is drinking a Special English Ale by The 3 Brewers at The Candlesticks Pub
A decent enough dark bitter, a malty pint with a caramel finish.
Well it’s an average Christmas ale, but better than most of their offerings.
Bob J. is drinking a Gold Rush by Westerham Brewery Company Ltd. at Broxbourne
A good thirst quencher when you in a major lights and decorations hanging operation.
Purchased at Westerham Brewery
Bob J. is drinking a Mad Goose by Purity Brewing Co. (England) at Broxbourne
Ah a favourite staple of mine, a quality pale ale - even in a Purity glass!
Bob J. is drinking a Victorian Porter by 8 Sail Brewery at Broxbourne
A nice creamy porter with plenty of cocoa and chocolate malt and body - nice!
A fresh-ish barrel, a bit of a kill or cure after a 13 hour day dealing with peoples issues.
Bob J. is drinking an Abbot Reserve by Greene King at The Woodman
Even sweeter than Abbot - in all honesty needs to be mixed with something more bitter to balance it.
Bob J. is drinking an Abbot Ale by Greene King at The Woodman
One the few pubs that can be guaranteed to produce a good pint of Abbot every time. I still find it a bit sweet these days.
Purchased at The Woodman
I just do not like ‘new’ Abbott that much so generally avoid it

Bob J. is drinking a Worcestershire Way by Bewdley Brewery at The Woodman
A beer that certainly has more flavour than the 3.6% abv, pretty decent pint.
