Jack Toye is drinking a La Fromagerie - Brut 2018 by Cidre D’Habloville at Untappd at Home
Another lovely bottle swap with Clifford and his cidery in Normandy. 5 years old now, and tasting lush. I think those underlying tannins from the French cider apples are helping to preserve this very well. Light level of fizz. Elegant and poised 🍎🇫🇷🍏
Jack Toye is drinking a Le Château - Brut 2020 by Cidre D’Habloville at Untappd at Home
Another gifted bottle from Clifford, a Pommelier course chum. This is a Normandy cider but really done in a beautiful, West Country style (not keeved). Slightly more acid-led but still good levels of tannin in the background. Electric orange hue 🍎🇫🇷🍏
Jack Toye is drinking a La Fromagerie - Brut 2019 by Cidre D’Habloville at Untappd at Home
Another of Clifford’s cidres from Normandy he very kindly did a bottle swap with. Reminding me of a Little Pomona release. It’s got that apricot and raspberry thing going on on the palate, grippy tannins, slightly oxidised but nothing adverse 🇫🇷🍎🍏
Jack Toye is drinking a Hendre Huffcap SVP 2022 by Ross on Wye Cider & Perry at Untappd at Home
Another new perry from the 2022 harvest from Ross on Wye. Beautiful apricot jam notes to this. I’ve probably opened the bottle a little too soon as it could do with a bit more bottle conditioning (only went in last month). What a joy to try though! 🍐

Drinking this as Albert would have intended: on a 52 min delayed Friday night rattling train down to London 😂 It’s opened up much more by not being refrigerated. The 2019 Ashton Bitter is sitting there prominently in the middle of the blend 🍎🍎🍎
