Tran's Son is drinking a CucumBerliner by Toolbox Brewing Company
Wild beer! Super super tart, but finishes with a bready aftertaste. Cucumber is mellow but clearly present.
Tran's Son is drinking a Quadrophobia by Brasserie Saint James at Brasserie Saint James
The Who reference? Pretty solid quad. Raisins, a hint of orange, and a whole lot of booze. Don't find much in common with the table beer.
Tran's Son is drinking a Monk's Milk by Brasserie Saint James at Brasserie Saint James
A table beer made from the dregs of their quad. Cool idea, and perfectly serviceable execution. Dark, dry, and drinkable.

Tran's Son is drinking a Plum Razz 1904 by Brasserie Saint James at Brasserie Saint James
Tartness comes through a bit more here. Very pleasant, though the fruit is very mellow in comparison to last Sunday's raspberry madness.
Tran's Son is drinking a 1904 by Brasserie Saint James at Brasserie Saint James
Brett is very underdeveloped here. Totally boring compared to their top-notch Saison. Plum Razz is better.
Tran's Son is drinking The Black Gate by Brasserie Saint James at Brasserie Saint James
Love me a beer that could be a magic card. Really fantastic schwartzbeir, full-flavored at only 4.6% Malty, bitter, and refreshing.

Tran's Son is drinking an Acclimation by The Brewing Lair at Tap Room At Whole Foods Market
Nice and dry, but barely tart. Not a whole lot going on here.
Tran's Son is drinking an Oro Negro (2016) by Jackie O's Pub & Brewery
From the head brewer himself! Goddamn this beer is Fire. Habañeros and walnuts make a nice pairing, and the additional spices are perfect.
Tran's Son is drinking a Purple Drink American Wild Ale w/ Boysenberries by Toolbox Brewing Company
Daaaank. Lactic and sour and fruity and vaguely hobo-scented. This thing is ridiculously thick. Pretty special. Thanks, Jonathan C.
Tran's Son is drinking an Imperial Stout (2013) by Founders Brewing Co.
Utterly transformed. Not hoppy in the slightest. Roasty and smokey, a bit acrid. Smells like cardboard, but it's delicious!
This thing had a nasty looking bloody booger thing in it too...

Right? Bizzare beer.

I've had a couple high abv dark founder's beers, notably Sumatra Mountain, with boogers too.

Tran's Son is drinking a Live a Rich Life by 3 Floyds Brewing Company
I think we drank this a bit too late. A bit minty, but mostly overwhelmingly wurt-flavored. Hides the ABV very well, but just isn't hoppy...
Tran's Son is drinking a Pear Bear by 3 Floyds Brewing Company
Wow, thanks Jonathan C. Super super sour and full of apple and pear flavor. Quite nice.
Tran's Son is drinking a Good Faith (Barrel Aged) by Discretion Brewing
Very surprisingly smooth. Tastes like a nice Belgian Dubbl at this point. Figgy and delicious
Tran's Son is drinking a Nightmare On Brett Aged In Leopold Bros Whiskey Barrels With Raspberry by Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project
The winner of the evening. Absolutely phenomenal in every way. Fruit and oak for days. Delicious, thanks, Jon and Lauren G.
Tran's Son is drinking a Rosé de Gambrinus (2014) by Brasserie Cantillon
Eddie's favorite beer! A necessary addition to keep this Raspberry tasting on track. Absolutely delicious. Subtle, fruity, tart, balanced.
