What a label... I was hoping it would be a bit more sour, but all the herbal notes come through nicely. These guys can really make a saison.

Nice sweetness from the honey. Hops are mellow in this version, so I'm looking forward to trying the Nelson Dry Hop! Well done boys.

What a trippy idea. These flavors are unexpectedly BEAUTIFULLY complimentary. Way better than most "Blonde Stouts" or "Coffee Lagers", etc.

Telegraph Brewing Company by Stock Porter

A fine beer to mark my return to Santa Barbara! Roasty, with a very unique complexity from the Belgian yeast. Very nice indeed

Brewery Ommegang by Three Philosophers (2011)

This is the way beer is supposed to age. Tastes exactly the same, and yet it is distinctly smoother, with a nice mellow heat. I want more. Photogenic Brew (Level 36) Earned the Photogenic Brew (Level 36) badge!

Cherries are still super prominent here, and the carb is still good. This has really aged beautifully.

Austin Beerworks by Heavy Machinery Double IPA

Technically, I can't tell what beer this is, but it sure screams DIPA. Love the can copy, and the beer ain't half bad either! I Believe in IPA! (Level 48) Earned the I Believe in IPA! (Level 48) badge!

Bike Dog Brewing Company by R&R Rye IPA

Tran's Son is drinking a R&R Rye IPA by Bike Dog Brewing Company at Bike Dog Brewing Co.

This one I'm not so keen on. Lots of flavors muddled together here: grass, soap, seaweed, and indiscernable fruity stuff. No likey.

My first Bike Dog beer, and it's a hands down home run! Floral without seeming shampooey. Slightly sweet with a beautiful golden hue. New Brew Thursday (Level 10) Earned the New Brew Thursday (Level 10) badge!

I don't think I'm gonna share this fine 'gnac with y'all, cuz your minds' ain't open an your hearts' ain't ready.

Nice blend of bright lemon and funky Brett flavors. Great carb and mouthfeel, just a damn refreshing sour. Liquid Lunch Earned the Liquid Lunch badge!

Mission Brewery by Dark Seas (2014)

Super roasty! Nice full herbal barley flavor, sweet but not cloying. Slightly chalky mouthfeel. Really great. Heavy Weight (Level 39) Earned the Heavy Weight (Level 39) badge!

Mammoth Brewing Company by Wild Sierra Saison

Trying to relive my Yosemite memories from last weekend... This one's not quite as nice as it seemed around the campfire. Photogenic Brew (Level 35) Earned the Photogenic Brew (Level 35) badge!

Mikkeller by Tiger Baby: Open Windows Open Hills

Tran's Son is drinking a Tiger Baby: Open Windows Open Hills by Mikkeller at Pangaea Bier Cafe

This beer really surprised me. Fruit flavors are deliciously forward, yet subtle, by which I mean there is basically no hoppiness/bitterness

Rubicon Brewing Co. by Grapefruit Hopsauce

Tran's Son is drinking a Grapefruit Hopsauce by Rubicon Brewing Co. at Rubicon Brewing Co.

Odd burnt flavor brings the malt component too much into the spotlight, I think. Not a huge hop flavor, and the grapefruit can't do it alone
