F McBeer is drinking a Tangle Foot by Badger Beers (Hall & Woodhouse) at Untappd at Home
A classic from a reliable brewery. A full-on burst of flavoursome malt, peppered with a tangy hop twist. Richly savoury with a mild sweetness. Looking forward to my steak pie being ready to accompany the rest of this.

This delicous, remarkably strong tripel has a deep flavour that packs a punch. Fruitily rich, yet also deliciously savoury, with a particular tang derived both from the overall flavour profile, and the alcohol.

A lovely well rounded tripel. Rich savoury flavour coupled with a gentle sweetness - perhaps sweeter than most tripels. Buoyantly carbonaceous. Very enjoyable!

I confess I was expecting weissbier; better delineation should be stipulated by Paulaner. The beer is nice, with complex fruity, herbal, perfumed hoppiness, almost smells like gin. Less breaddy than most Hells but with that welcome tartness of the genre.

Exceptionally well-rounded comforting flavours - this has been well thought through. A heavy sweet fruitiness (even a bit of prune?) strikes one, but is combined with hearty mouthful of malt to keep this very much grounded in the here and now.
