Craig Durgy is drinking a Bigfoot (2025) by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. at Blue Collar Taproom
An old favorite if not THE fav, desert island brew. Sweet toffee malt & pine hops that melt into the palate. Resinous and a bit chewy with a glorious blend of sweet & bitter.
Craig Durgy is drinking a Bourbon County Brand Eagle Rare 2-Year Reserve Stout (2023) by Goose Island Beer Co. at Blue Collar Taproom
Coffee & cocoa-toffee and smooth, warming bourbon. One of their best stouts. My fourth trip down this cozy road.
Natasja T: Oh yes ! Ha ha .. nice escape for the afternoon x
Craig Durgy: Natasja T. 😉 .
Craig Durgy is drinking a Triple Bock (1995) by Samuel Adams at Pies & Pub
The nose at first says soy sauce but once poured the dark chocolate emerges to offer hope. As it warms the aroma improves to a mellower blend. Tasting intense dried dark fruits, molasses w/prune dominating, malty charcoal, tangy orange & dark chocolate.
Purchased at Pies & Pub
Nathaniel Burne: How did the cork pieces taste?
Craig Durgy: Nathaniel B. Absolutely none, was a perfect push through, not a speck of cork!
Craig Durgy is drinking a Double Sunshine by Lawson’s Finest Liquids at Pies & Pub
Bright & piney with some sweet caramel malt that’s followed by a clean grapefruit & oniony bite. A pretty special mix of sweet & bitter, smooth and tasty.
Purchased at Pies & Pub
