Tried the pale; now the ipa. They don't taste that different, and I think I prefer the pale (says the IPA lover), which had more intensity & character. That said, both are decent, and vastly superior to the ubiquitous shitty lagers.Earned the The Backpacker (Level 7) badge!
Finally reached Ho Chi Minh City after an all day multi bus and taxi trip from Cambodia. Found out I'm staying in the noisiest place on earth (Bui Vien is even louder than Khaosan Road!) Having my first local craft brew. Ooh, hops & resin! Pretty good.
Ale in Aisa! This one also has some.detectable hop-page, and an odd, slightly medicinal or smoky (at a guess) flavour. Beats tasteless lagers, at any rate. 😁🙌🏻 Also noting the bar is adamant this is brewed in Siem Reap, but I could only find the Viet.Earned the Riding Steady (Level 63) badge! Dayummm, an ale! On tap! Back home I'd say this is very mild, but here it's a rainbow dripping liquid golden goodness into my liver. I can actually taste a few hops...Earned the Brewery Pioneer (Level 49) badge! Earned the Pale as the Moon (Level 36) badge!
