Richard Swindells is drinking an Imperial Brown Stout Irish Whisky Barrel Aged by The Kernel Brewery at The Victoria Inn
Lovely, strong wood aged stout. Loads of roast and alcohol sweetness, some whiskey, with a chocolate crunchie finish. Lightly ashy on the finish with a touch of alcohol warmth. A delight.

I really enjoyed the contrast of sweet caramel malt and minty, herbal, woody hop. Estery yeast and lightly sulphurous aroma from intentionally warm lager fermentation. Caramel malt, herbal hop and moderate bitterness with good carbonation & moderate body.

Really enjoyed this beer, like a rich barley wine.

Nice light bodied Porter with light roasted malt, chocolate and coffee notes with a residual sweetness and balancing hedgerow hop flavour and moderate bitterness. Easy drinking beer on cask.

Top black IPA. Loads of West Coast influence with a low roast note. Clean fermentation profile and punchy hop flavours, pine, citrus, dark berry and assertive, lasting bitterness.
