Hazebros probably consider this a hall of fame hazy ipa. It is big on the pineapple and guava aromas and flavors plus orange sherbet sweetness. Bitterness is quite low. For 7.9% this is super smooth thanks to medium body and CO2. Very good but not amazing

One of the best American examples I’ve had. Big bready malt base akin to pumpernickel with a chocolate component. Malty and sweet but well attenuated and enough hops for balance. Medium-full body; moderately-low CO2. No heat from the 8.4% and so smooth.

Usually this is a top notch doppelbock, but this bottle is a little old or heat damaged. Smell and taste is of overripe plum and mushy raisin. More fruity than bready. Slightly medicinal. Medium+ body; low CO2. Oddly warm for only 7.4% though it’s smooth.

Chad Polenz is drinking a Bourbon County Brand Backyard Stout (2023) by Goose Island Beer Co.
Berries add a slight jam flavor at the apex and mild tartness in the aftertaste. Otherwise it’s standard BCBS with huge bourbon, vanilla, wood and alcohol. Sweet chocolate aftertaste. Body is only medium, low CO2. The 12.9% is a mild smooth warmth.

Reminds me of a purposely mild/watery blonde ale. Seems a little wheaty. I get more lime than lemon though it does have a citrusy motif for sure. The salt adds a bit of a tang. This is akin to a virgin margarita. Light body; fairly high CO2. Crushable.
