Dagda by The White Hag Irish Brewing Company

Hop Hunter is drinking a Dagda by The White Hag Irish Brewing Company at Untappd at Home

Ireland’s White Hag making a long awaited appearance in this area, with its “god of abundance.” A creamy head and mouthfeel precede peach and lime on the palate. Untappd’s “Best” Extra Pale Ale in Ireland is underrated in my view.

A beautifully clear, dark mahogany pour with little to no head. Nutty with the barest hint of chocolate. Finishes with a slightly sweet note. Easy drinking for the style.

Slightly cloudy, cooper pour with almost no head. Light bodied, toasted malts on the nose and a watery, caramel note on the palate. A bit of PA history, nonetheless.

Cloudy, straw color with a rapidly disappearing head. Lots of carbonation. Light-bodied with a hint of peach and a slightly spicy, sweet but not hoppy finish. Refreshing.

Looks good, until you read that coloring is added and it’s brewed in Texas. With a watery, caramel note, you get what you pay for here.
