Belgian quad? How?? It's a stout imo. Boozy bourbon bomb. Sticky.Wood char, chocolate, tobacco, leather, date syrup, candied sugar. Slight aniseed notes. Sweet but balanced. Lots of flavours to pick out. It's boozy but so much depth. Really enjoyable.

Tasted at salamamca markets and bought a can. Really good barleywine. Tons of whiskey alongside a solid biscuity malt base with some honey/caramel and dried apricot. The whiskey barrel really is the star of the show. Boozy, but still smooth.

On nitro. Milk chocolate and sweetened coffee with a lightly roasted finish. Not bad.

Milk chocolate and roasted malt. Balanced sweetness. Thin body. Toasty finish. Paired great as a boiler maker with Dark Lark whiskey.

Nice hoppy red ale. Not a lot of malt for a red ale, but pretty decent. I don't mind Philter beers.
