El Sobrino de Satan: A beginner's scotch as voted repeatedly from some YouTube whiskey guys is Monkey Shoulder. I can't argue there. A soft yet tasty blend. I like Lowlands myself but am pretty ignorant. Speysides are a bit for me to just sip and enjoy. Much to learn.
El Sobrino de Satan: Our Michael Jackson wrote a great beginner's guide to Scotch. A pull of Evan to your Scotch, boss!
BellinghamBeerQuokka: I've got Mr. Jackson's book, cause I'm nasty. Monkey Shoulder is very approachable but I don't drink much blended Scotch. Islay is for me.

Still pretty sweet after more than 5 years with lots of caramel/toffee taste. This was better fresh, when the bourbon flavor was strong and delicious.
