Liiked this better than first time I had it. Starts w/classic Russian imperial flavor combo of sweet malt, licorice, chocolate, and finishes hard w/hoppy harshness. Nothing mellow here, including 10.2% abv. A wild, fun ride of a beer. Terrific Xmas gift.

Good imperial stout but not great. A little too roasty in flavor, almost like it’s been burnt. But still has complex sweet malty flavor that makes imperial stouts imperial. 9% abv by Xmas gift. From DB?

Interesting for something different. Obviously a winter seasonal beer, but paired perfectly with the curry stirfry that Nana threw together tonight. Both beer and stir fry heavy on ginger, plus ale spices cardamom, orange peels, cinnamon, cloves. 8% abv
