Softly, smoothly it drinks with notes of licorice when first poured, then chocolate and coffee. A touch of sweetness but also a bit dry like bittersweet chocolate. A fine breakfast beer with scotch eggs.

1.5 yrs later, still a great beer with lively wine grape notes and pairs well, this time with a breakfast of steak, blue cheese, egg, and French fries. Cuts through the rich, fat tastes and gives a great tart, fruity counterpart.
