Cozy Campfire by Brouwerij Kees

Steve Walsh is drinking a Cozy Campfire by Brouwerij Kees at Untappd at Home

Massive booze hit that overwhelms pretty much everything else. Some dark sugar, chocolate and smoky sweetness underneath, but it’s hard to get past the harsh alcohol burn. Thick and syrupy, more of a struggle than something enjoyable to drink

Loads of ripe tropical fruit with mango, peach and citrus all popping nicely. Thick, hazy body with a soft, juicy feel throughout. Really approachable for 7%, balancing flavour and drinkability well. One of those cans that goes down very easily … 3.85

Milk chocolate, caramel and biscuit with a soft cookie sweetness throughout. Smooth, creamy body and fairly easy drinking for the style. Sweet leaning, but balanced enough to stay enjoyable without becoming too heavy or artificial

Pear, honey and light Belgian spice with smooth rum warmth underneath. Ginger adds a lively kick that keeps it bright and stops the sweetness dragging. Really lively carbonation lifted it nicely and made it drink fresher than expected

Grain Dance (Call of Quercus) Barrel Aged by Full Circle Brew Co

Steve Walsh is drinking a Grain Dance (Call of Quercus) Barrel Aged by Full Circle Brew Co at Untappd at Home

Rich caramel and dark fruit with port bringing raisin, berry sweetness and a slight tannic edge. Toasted malt gives it a bit of depth without becoming too heavy. Smooth and warming, nicely balanced between barrel character and the base barleywine
