About this Item

Inspired by a Belgian-style witbier called Celis White, Allagash Founder Rob Tod started Allagash Brewing Company out of a warehouse in Portland, ME, in 1995.

Bootstrapping the brewery, Tod welded together his 15-bbl system and punched out a few drains in the floor. All in the pursuit to brew one beer only: his own Belgian-style witbier, Allagash White. But at the time, no one had tasted such a style. So, for the first ten years, Tod couldn’t sell the American wheat beer. But Tod wouldn’t quit, hitting the road with Allagash Brewmaster Jason Perkins to bring the beer into as many states as possible.Today, Allagash White continues to be the brewery’s best-selling beer. And the brewery itself remains one of the most well-respected breweries in the country, earning Brewery and Brewer of the Year in the 15,001-100,000 barrels per year category at the 2021 Great American Beer Festival (GABF).

On Untappd, over the brewery's almost-thirty-year history, they've accrued a whopping 1.4 million ratings for 172 beers while maintaining a uber-respectable 3.87 rating.

Most recently, Allagash has made a name for itself with its epic coolship program, brewing incredible American wild ales often with heaps of different fruits and lambic-style beers.

So we built a bundle all around those 4+ beers!

Allagash Avancé is a product of patience. Aged with strawberries for three years in a large oak foudre, this strong, sour ale has the aroma of strawberry preserves and toasted oak. The oak and berries continue their presence in flavor, and compliment the sweet, warm finish.

Coolship Cerise is aged on cherries for six months in oak wine barrels. We use 100 lbs of fresh Maine cherries (a blend of Montmorency and Balaton varieties) per oak barrel. The beer is pale red in color with cherry and spice in the aroma. Cherry, oak and spice punctuate the flavor. A dry finish rounds out this tart and delightfully complex beer.

Allagash Brewing Company

Sour - Fruited

5.5% ABV · N/A IBU

4.08 Avg1,756 ratings

A gift to share or give yourself, My One & Only is made for special moments. We brew a red ale and let it age and sour in a foudre—a large oak fermentor typically used in winemaking—before adding fresh, local raspberries, plums, and a plum-cherry hybrid called a pluerry. In this dry and balanced beer you’ll find notes of fresh berry, cherry, apple, pear, and subtle caramel from its grain bill.

Once Upon An Orchard Honeyberries

Allagash Brewing Company

Sour - Fruited

5.8% ABV · N/A IBU

4.01 Avg369 ratings

Once, a soup of brewers decidid to rest in a honeyberry patch. Slumbering among aromas of fresh fruit, they all dreamed the same dream. In it, they brewed a sour golden ale aged for four months with ripe honeyberries, full of notes of red grape, blackberry, and tart cherry. When they awoke, the beer was sitting right beside them. What else could they do but toast to their good fortune, rest in the shade for a bit longer, and sip the beer of their dreams?
