Brilliant!

This very big and punchy! Whisky aromas lead into a big and bitter coffee roastiness with some astringency too. Malts are remarkably restrained though sweetness comes through. Finished with a long dry whisky barrel finish. Sometimes finness is overrated.

A bit of funk, slight sour and quite smashy

This one’s been ageing in the fridge for a while. Not altogether that dry but that’s not a bad thing! Enough sweetness to carry the volatile apple aromas and the gentle funk. Champagne like finish. Great cider.

The sweetness of honey, tart boysenberries, a rich Mead body. A very different sweetness - earthy and slow building - that sets a brew like Melomel apart from other high ABV beer. Almost wine-like fruit as it warmed, surprisingly well with homemade pizza.

Banana and clove with raisins and plums. Tart, dark, little bit peppery. Quite rightly call themselves Brewers and Blenders.
