This beer is a response to the very bitter beers that are being brewed all around the world at present. In this case, the denomination IPA does not stand for India Pale Ale, but for Incredible, Powerful & Amazing.

This triple has a somewhat darker (orange like) colour and a slightly fuller taste than our Kerckomse Tripel, if only to clarify that these are two completely different Triple beers.

Following the Blond and Brown Bink, the brewery launched a third type of beer: the Blossom Bink, on the occasion of the 50th consacration of the blossoms in 2000 !

We brew this seasonal beer every year in the same period (spring-summer).

It is therefore only available here from April to October.

The ingredients are: five types of malts, one type of Belgian hops, brewing water, yeast, honey from Sint-Truiden and pear syrup from Vrolingen.

It has a fruity taste with a slightly sweet tone and a long fruity and soft bittery aftertaste. Read Less

At the request of the “Foundation Abbey, Town and Region” and the Town of Sint-Truiden, a special abbey beer was brewed on the occasion of the first open abbey days in 2002.

What makes Adelardus Double so special, is the use of so-called ‘gruut’. This is a mixture of about 10 different indigenous herbs.

Adelardus Double is a dark brown high fermentation beer, that is unfiltered, unpasteurized with a secondary fermentation in the bottle.

The ingredients are: five types of malts, two types of Belgian hops, brewing water, dark sugar candy, yeast and ‘gruut’.
