There's Beer In Them Thar Hills!

Responsive image

Let's get hoppy with it! We're setting off on a beer adventure unlike any other this week. Ever heard of the city of El Dorado? It's a legendary lost village supposedly made of gold (and also a very underappreciated 2000 animated DreamWorks film). But we're talking about beer. And in the beer world, the El Dorado hop is considered gold. See, it all makes sense now. Recently, this hop has skyrocketed in popularity. Probably because of its magical tropical mango and pineapple properties.

Drinking Socially podcast hosts Harrison Hickok (@harrybeerbeard) and Jon Dispenza (@drinkingwithjon) welcome Shelley and Eric Desmarais from CLS Farms and Alexandra Nowell, Director of Brewing Operations for Three Weavers Brewing, to break down what makes the El Dorado hop such a treasure.

Fittingly, this week they're unlocking the Brewery Pioneer badge. Tune into the newest episode to see Harrison and Jon take an Oregon Trail-esque adventure. Just with beer instead of the smelly mules, snakebites, and dysentery.

To earn this badge, you're setting off on your journey through the world of beer. Check in five beers from five different breweries to earn Level 1. But, be sure to take a little time to get to know each brewery as you go before you work your way up to 360 breweries at Level 73. There's beer in them thar hills!

Harrison and Jon are starting with a beer that's all about this leafy treasure called All Dorado IPA from Three Weavers Brewing. A single-hop IPA beer featuring El Dorado®️hops in T-90 pellet, whole cone, and LUPOMAX, this beer brewed in collaboration with CLS Farms and Yakima Valley Hops is an absolute tropical juice bomb.

Pack up the wagon, grease the wheels, and hit the beer trail. Tune into this week's episode of Drinking Socially on YouTube or listen wherever you grab your favorite podcasts.
