Show Your Pride

It's almost June! And this means that all over the country, the LGBTQ+ community and allies are celebrating Pride.

In the beer industry, this includes Dorchester Brewing in Dorchester, Massachusetts, opened by Matt Malloy and his husband in 2006. New Belgium, makers of Fat Tire and Voodoo Ranger, was recently named one of the best places to work for the LGBTQ+ community in the country. And Hop Culture Magazine and Samuel Adams are throwing Queer Beer, a digital craft beer festival designed to celebrate LGTBQ-owned breweries and allies. Hop Culture also launched a line of queer beer glassware, shirts, Colsters, and posters, which are available now through their online store! All net proceeds from the glassware, Colsters, and posters will go towards LGBTQ+ organizations such as QUEER | ART and GLAAD

At Untappd, we'll be running an awesome badge during Pride Month. From June 1st to June 30th, check-in a bestselling "Love Hazy IPA" from Almanac Beer Company in Alameda, California, to earn the hard-to-find "Rainbow LOVE" badge. The limited-edition cans of Love Hazy IPA help support the Oakland LGBTQ+ Community Center, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing and sustaining the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals, families and allies, by providing educational, social, health & wellness-related activities, programs, and services.

Love Hazy IPA (or just "LOVE," as the brewery calls it) is brewed in the spirit of equity, inclusion, and justice for all people and is bursting with hoppy tropical flavors. Built on a simple base of Pilsner malt and rolled oats, this super dank IPA has a pillowy mouthfeel and is double dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra, and Sabro.

Celebrate loud, proud, responsibly, and safely! Good luck, badge hunters!
